About the Role

CBRE is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and corrective repairs of buildings, building systems, and equipment. You will work under limited supervision and use intermediate skills to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Align with all applicable codes, regulations, and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
  • Perform assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance. Complete maintenance and repairs records.
  • Review assigned work orders. Estimate time and materials needed to complete repair. Order materials and supplies to finish tasks.
  • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment systems, including plumbing systems, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop, and HVAC.
  • Inspect building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing, to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.
  • Coordinate and inspect the work performed by outside contractors.
  • Support an energy management program to ensure measures are taken to operate all systems in the most efficient manner to keep operating costs at a minimum.
  • Maintain lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps. Perform welding, carpentry, furniture assembly, and locksmith tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or trade school training.
  • Excellent oral and written communications.
  • Proven track record of providing excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Uses computer and/or PDA for work order system, email, and training. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record with periodic checks. Licensure as required by AHJ.
