Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the level of receptive and expressive speech and language skills, swallowing skills, and social-pragmatic skills of individuals. You will develop, modify, and implement individual and group therapy programs to enhance communication, address swallowing deficiencies, and prevent asphyxiation.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the level of receptive and expressive speech and language skills, swallowing skills, and social-pragmatic skills of individuals.
- Develop, modify, and implement individual and group therapy programs to enhance communication, address swallowing deficiencies, and prevent asphyxiation.
- Design and deliver speech, language, and dysphagia management services, including hearing screenings, for individuals and groups.
- Design and deliver in-service training to other staff on speech-language techniques and protocols.
- Act as a sign language interpreter as necessary.
- Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary team to provide professional insight and goal planning for treatment and care of individuals.
- Counsel and inform guardians and family members regarding speech-language, hearing, and swallowing issues.
- Compose and complete reports, lesson plans, and other program-related documents.
