Job Title: Life Sciences Instructor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Life Sciences Instructor to join our faculty team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of life sciences courses, including anatomy, physiology, human biology, and general biology. The instructor will also be expected to participate in curriculum development, assessment, and program evaluation.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach life sciences courses, including lectures, laboratories, and online courses
  • Develop and implement curriculum, including course syllabi and assessments
  • Participate in program evaluation and assessment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement new programs and initiatives
  • Provide academic advising and support to students
  • Participate in department and college-wide committees and activities

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in any biological science or related field
  • OR Bachelor's degree in any biological science or related field and Master's degree in biochemistry, biophysics, or marine science
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of students
  • Ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and community partners
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching life sciences courses at the community college level
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment
  • Experience with online course development and delivery
  • Experience with program evaluation and assessment
