Job Summary

CompuCom Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to provide technical support for our national home improvement retail client. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and resolving IT-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for clients' IT equipment and resolve issues in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Travel within a designated radius to provide on-site support and maintenance services.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of AC/DC and backup power concepts.
  • Familiarize yourself with various operating systems, including Windows OS, OSX, and Linux/Unix.
  • Manage triage, troubleshooting, and resolution of IT equipment issues.
  • Occasionally work at heights of 20' to 25' and participate in equipment training programs.
  • Document efforts, issues, and resolutions, and close cases/tickets daily.
  • Develop expertise in copper and fiber cabling and various terminating connectors.
  • Gain insight into POS, PC, Printers, Thin Clients, AP's, Servers, and Network switch equipment.

Requirements

  • One year of IT technical support experience.
  • CompTIA A+ certification (required).
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Net+ CompTIA certification (preferred).
  • Valid driver's license.
