Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Actalent. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow established laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, and testing.
- Perform routine and complex laboratory tests, including chemistry, hematology, and immunology.
- Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, including calibration and maintenance.
- Participate in quality control activities, including documentation and reporting.
- Process incoming orders and specimens for laboratory testing.
- Prepare and analyze patient specimens for testing.
- Record and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
- Identify and correct problems that may affect test performance or reporting.
- Document all corrective actions taken.
Requirements:
- ASCP/AMT Certification
- 3+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting
- Generalist with experience in chemistry, hematology, and immunology
Work Environment:
This is a fully on-site position in a clinical laboratory setting. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
