Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Technologist is responsible for performing technical procedures in areas such as Hematology, Chemistry, Serology, Blood Bank, Point of Care Testing, Urinalysis and Microbiology. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of laboratory protocols and procedures, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs technical procedures in areas such as Hematology, Chemistry, Serology, Blood Bank, Point of Care Testing, Urinalysis and Microbiology
• Facilitates positive customer service throughout the department/facility
• Responds timely to customer needs
• Recognizes, responds and communicates collaboratively with physician regarding variances in laboratory operations and patient data
• Builds collaborative professional relationships with a multi-disciplinary team to support patient care needs

Requirements

• Associates Degree, Medical Lab Technology/Clinical Lab Science or Related
• 2 years Clinical Lab experience (Preferred)
• Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) - American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) (ASCP or AMT) Upon Hire
