Job Summary

The MaineHealth Medical Group and MaineHealth Barbara Bush Children's Service Line seek an accomplished Physician Leader to partner with the BBCH health service line and MHMG Southern Region primary care leadership to drive quality, patient safety, and efficient resource utilization in pediatric primary care.

  • Collaborate with leadership to identify, design, and lead initiatives to improve children's healthcare, patient satisfaction, and resource allocation in the southern region.
  • Develop and implement annual and strategic goals to support the academic mission, including career development for primary care pediatricians and pediatric APPs.
  • Contribute to organizational standards, strategies, and operational, financial, and clinical performance aligned with MaineHealth's mission, vision, values, and strategic goals.
  • Lead operational, financial, and clinical strategies, and provide medical group leadership, collaborating with the respective vice president and medical directors.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Ensure alignment of workflows and initiatives to benefit the southern region pediatric populations within Family Medicine, Medicine/Pediatrics, and Pediatrics disciplines.
  • Drive continued transformation to patient-centered, value-based care.
  • Accountable for the development, implementation, and success of quality, safety, and financial performance of MHMG Southern Region primary pediatric practices.
  • Work closely with the MHB Service line, discipline leaders, residency, and medical student program directors to maintain outpatient teaching commitment.
  • Responsible for the overall performance of pediatric providers in the MH Southern Region, partnering with MHBBCSL to improve career development and retention.

Qualifications

Requirements include:

  • MD/DO/NP/PA degree from an accredited school.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of clinical practice experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive management experience.
  • Prior leadership training is preferred.
