Job Title: Mental Health Specialist

The Blue Ridge Vista Behavioral Health is currently recruiting for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in a challenging yet rewarding environment. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing individualized care to patients with complex needs and overseeing daily rounding, treatment team, and consultation as needed.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year based on experience and qualifications.

About the Job:
In this role, you will work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and communicate with various entities as needed. You must have certification as PMHNP and previous experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting desirable. Additionally, you should be able to respond promptly to nursing and admissions teams when calling for orders and medical consultation. The position requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. The ideal candidate will be a team player who can work collaboratively to find solutions to problems and prioritize tasks efficiently.

Job Requirements:
To qualify for the Nurse Practitioner position, you must have:
  • Certification as PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner)
  • Previous experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds
  • Communication with organization or comparable entities preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must provide proof of insurance (as needed), complete credentialing and background checks, supply references, participate in necessary documentation and billing software audits and needed based on position type.
