Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to identify areas of need and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Create and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings to help clients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
  • Provide Therapeutic Interventions: Provide a range of therapeutic interventions, including exercises, activities, and adaptive equipment, to help clients improve their functional abilities and independence.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech therapists, to ensure coordinated and effective care.
  • Educate Clients and Families: Educate clients and their families on therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and strategies to support independence and promote healthy living.
  • Monitor and Document Progress: Monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and reports, including progress notes and treatment plans.
Qualifications
  • Active COTA License/Certification: Must have an active Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license or certification in the state of Oregon.
  • Experience in School Settings: Experience working in school settings is highly desirable.
  • Strong Clinical Assessment and Treatment Skills: Possess strong clinical assessment and treatment skills, including the ability to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to Work in a Multidisciplinary Team Environment: Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech therapists.
