Mechanical Design Engineer with Crane

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in crane design and engineering to join our team at United Software Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform calculations for stresses developed in structural and mechanical components of overhead cranes and runway systems.
  • Generate 2D & 3D design drawings, detailed fabrication drawings, and bill of materials for overhead cranes and other material handling equipment using AutoCad.
  • Work with project team members in the engineering stage of various material handling projects.
  • Review customer-generated drawings and specifications as they pertain to the engineering design of the equipment or system.
  • Team approach to problem-solving and strong communication and customer service skills.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Structural, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
  • Proficient in AutoCad for 2D & 3D design and detailing.
  • Computer literate with proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Experience in manufacturing and structural steel fabrication desired.
