Quality Engineer

Contract Position

Location: Wellington, KS

  • Perform data analytics of the defect data
  • Identify the top defects and perform RCCA
  • Supports the review and release of QMS procedures to assure compliance to AS9100
  • Develops performance metrics and trend analysis
  • Perform root cause analysis of non conformance and recommend the corrective action as necessary to avoid repentance of non conformance
  • Perform RCCA using 8-D, fishbone diagram and 5 Why’s
  • Create and review process verification instruction and manufacturing work instruction.
  • Customer specification interpretation
  • Ability to plan and coordinate value additions/improvements to the existing shop floor support.
  • Ability to perform design reviews to ensure that quality is engineered into the product.
  • Capable to coordinate and present the solution to approving team including the customer.
  • Participates in design and product reviews to ensure that producibility, inspect ability, reliability, safety, Quality System integrity, and business process management objectives are met
  • Communication with all teams (engineering, tooling, production, quality) to assure the product is completed correctly and on schedule to the customer.
  • Present Investigation documents and Process with leadership

Preferred

  • Knowledge of Aerospace industry and standards
  • Blueprint reading ( 2D drawings)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering
  • Typically, 3 to 5 years of experience
  • Microsoft Office - advanced skill level
  • Knowledge of Aerospace industry and standards
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
