Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify, assess, and cultivate personal insurance prospects with both new and existing clients through various communication channels including in-person meetings, online interactions, phone calls, and written correspondence.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with clients and prospects through consistent follow-ups, precise and timely quotations, and comprehensive account support. Proactively address and fulfill all client needs.
  • Engage in active prospecting for comprehensive accounts, seek enhancements in existing client coverage, and network for new clientele.
  • Secure optimal coverage and rates for clients, process insurance quotes, and finalize coverage agreements while ensuring necessary follow-ups with inspections, documentation, and client education on policy details.
  • Maintain excellent rapport with customers through regular engagement, prompt quotations, and overall account management.
  • Assist clients in preparation for renewals and retention strategies while fostering robust client relationships.
  • Monitor and evaluate key performance metrics to ensure sales objectives are met, and maintain accurate sales activity documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members, mentor junior staff, provide expertise, and engage in both formal and informal meetings as required.
  • Stay updated with continuing education, industry trends, new product offerings, legislative changes, coverage options, and technological advancements to enhance knowledge and performance.

Qualifications:
  • Possess the necessary insurance license as mandated by your state, along with a minimum of two years of experience in personal and commercial lines insurance account management, complemented by a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of insurance products, rating and underwriting procedures, coverage options, and industry practices to effectively acquire new business and maintain existing client relationships.
  • Demonstrate a successful track record in business-to-business sales, showcasing strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills with a proven ability to close sales.
  • Be client-oriented, focused on customer satisfaction, and assertive in establishing new client relationships while servicing current clients.
  • Exhibit exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing complex tasks independently, with sound business judgment, strong decision-making abilities, and superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess excellent time management skills, thrive in a collaborative environment, and demonstrate proficiency in technology and computer systems, including agency management software.
