Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Specialist to join our team at Activation Capital. As a key member of our small entrepreneurial team, you will play a vital role in supporting our entrepreneurship and ecosystem development initiatives.

Your primary responsibilities will include program coordination, grant management, and entrepreneurship and ecosystem development. You will work closely with our leadership team to manage projects related to Board governance and committee engagement, and assist in maintaining data continuity and accuracy across various projects.

We are looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial thinker with a can-do attitude and a horizontal skillset. If you are a self-motivated and results-oriented individual with a keen attention to detail, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Coordination: Support coordination across multiple projects within Activation Capital's entrepreneurship and ecosystem development initiatives.
  • Grant Management: Assist with grant management, including resource allocation and overall execution.
  • Entrepreneurship and Ecosystem Development: Aid in the management of Activation Capital's deep tech acceleration programs, which build a startup company around promising new technologies.
  • Governance: Work closely with leadership to manage projects related to Board governance and committee engagement/deliverables.
  • Data Management: Assist in maintaining data continuity and accuracy across various projects.

Requirements:

  • Ability to form successful partnerships and build/maintain relationships with diverse partners, organizations, and stakeholders.
  • Professional who can effectively communicate with executives, staff, grantors, and key stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in project or organizational management.
  • Experience managing projects and using project management software.
  • Experience with grant management – federal/state.
  • Experience/interest in life science innovation and entrepreneurship/ecosystem development.
