DCS Corp is in search of a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer, a subject matter expert in areas such as anti-tamper technologies, exportability features, and secure system design. This role is pivotal in representing program protection interests during the system engineering technical review (SETR) process, ensuring that robust protection measures are integrated throughout the customer portfolio and across the lifecycle of each product.
Key Responsibilities:
The Cybersecurity Systems Engineer will deliver Technology Protection and engineering support for an Army acquisition initiative. This position involves applying scientific and engineering methodologies to pinpoint security vulnerabilities in hardware, software, or firmware, while also developing risk assessments and mitigation strategies related to these vulnerabilities. The role is essential in safeguarding critical technologies and advising on suitable countermeasures and program protection tactics. Key responsibilities include:
- Documenting program protection strategies within the systems engineering plan (SEP), program protection plan (PPP), and system security plan (SSP).
- Assisting engineering and program management teams with the analysis of program protection requirements.
- Providing technical guidance to identify vulnerabilities associated with critical program information (CPI), mission-critical functions, and components, along with recommending appropriate security measures.
- Supporting system threat evaluations, vulnerability assessments, security risk analyses, and security testing and evaluation processes.
- Offering subject matter expertise in meetings, during the SETR process, and throughout various adaptive acquisition framework pathways.
Qualifications:
Given the sensitive nature of the requirements, U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
Candidates must possess a master's degree in a relevant field with at least 4 years of applicable experience; alternatively, a bachelor's degree in a specialized area with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in any discipline combined with at least 7 years of specialized experience.
A Top Secret clearance is required.
Candidates will be expected to provide subject matter expertise in the SETR process and across various adaptive acquisition framework pathways.
A comprehensive understanding of engineering principles and the ability to analyze a diverse range of technological concepts is essential.
Familiarity with security requirements, including anti-tamper measures, exportability features, supply chain risk management, secure design practices, defense-in-depth strategies, and cybersecurity implementations, is necessary.
Completion of DAU courses such as ACQ 160 or ENG 260, or equivalent experience, is required.
