About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Strategic Higher Education Advisor. As a key member of our consulting team, you will play a critical role in supporting and leading multifaceted client engagements and strategic projects within our higher education consulting discipline.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Develop project plans and timelines, establish objectives, maintain proactive communication with clients and team members, track and report progress on project milestones, and understand client needs.
  • Facilitation and Communication: Facilitate large and small group workshops and meetings, develop and deliver presentations, create tools and materials to guide discussion and support consensus building, document feedback, and synthesize into tangible outcomes.
  • Research and Analysis: Leverage knowledge, insights, industry trends, and other data to advise senior decision makers in strategic plans or initiatives.
  • Deliverables and Reporting: Develop an array of both long- and short-form deliverables, including presentations, strategic plans, briefing documents, agendas, meeting minutes, and synthesized summaries.
  • Problem-Solving and Collaboration: Use problem-solving skills to identify client needs, conduct and analyze research related to topical focus areas, develop goals and objectives, and develop strategic solutions and initiatives that are comprehensive and aligned with client goals.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal team members to execute on project deliverables efficiently.
  • Client Relationships: Build trusted relationships to serve as a reliable resource to clients and team.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required; a master's, doctoral, or other advanced degree is considered a plus.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience in management consulting, higher education administration, strategic planning, or related experience that clearly demonstrates comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Skills: Strong communication, including public speaking, meeting facilitation, and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to build and maintain a professional network with strong interpersonal skills; ability to manage projects, deadlines, and deliverables, often under tight deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Tools and Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
