Job Summary:

The Regional Systems Director is a strategic and senior IT leader responsible for advising and consulting on technology services and best practices for operations, sales, and customer-related matters. This role reports to the Regional Vice President and is part of the enterprise IT leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all regional systems activities and staff, ensuring effective technology deployment and utilization.
  • Work closely with enterprise IT operations groups to orchestrate the implementation of the IT strategy, aligning with business objectives.
  • Oversee the implementation and operations of enterprise technologies in the regional context, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Participate as a member of the enterprise IT strategy leadership team, contributing to the development, communication, and execution of enterprise IT strategies.
  • Function as a senior advisor to the RVP on all technology matters, providing expert guidance and recommendations.
  • Assist with setting policy on IT matters, particularly where policy impacts field operations or customer concerns.
  • Use business and technology experience to assist Sales and Operations functions in achieving their objectives, driving revenue growth and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in sales calls, customer calls, and implementation projects, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Participate in process improvement projects designed to improve workflow and work processes in the region, driving continuous improvement.
  • Act as the senior IT advisor in support of field-based revenue generation and operational improvement activities, providing strategic guidance and expertise.
  • Identify methods and processes for improvement and provide feedback into the development and technology operations organizations, driving innovation and excellence.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a fast-paced technology-driven business environment, supporting and interacting with multiple platforms and senior levels of management.
  • Strong working knowledge of enterprise technologies, including networks, windows (server and desktop), and other technologies used in field operations.
  • Strong trouble-shooting/problem-resolution skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Strong documentation skills, with the ability to create clear and concise technical documentation.
  • Strong project management and implementation skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong ability to interact with customers, often under negative circumstances, but have the ability to win them over and communicate technology issues in a business way.
  • Utilize knowledge of the customer and operations environments to advise senior business leaders, sales organizations, and operations organizations.
  • Ability to participate in complex problem-solving situations, driving innovative solutions and outcomes.
  • Must have sufficient technical depth to communicate with development and other internal organizations at a peer level, as well as convey technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
  • Able to interpret the meaning of information for others, translating or explaining what information means and how it can be used.
  • Able to identify information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events.

Education and Experience:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of field experience, with experience used to substitute for the degree. Familiar with a variety of technology concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated technical competence with Microsoft Technologies, including messaging, collaboration, and database.
  • Demonstrated business competence with CorVel core applications, including MedCheck, CareMC, and Claimline.
  • Experience working as part of a project team performing major IT roll-outs, implementations, and migrations, particularly in a virtual environment.
  • Strong oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customer managers and executives on technical and business issues.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven capability of collaboration with virtual teams and organizations that are outside of the formal reporting structure.

Pay Range:

CorVel uses a market-based approach to pay, with salary ranges varying depending on location, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Pay rates are established taking into account federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, geographic location differential, and other factors.

For leveled roles, new hires may be slotted into a different level, either up or down, based on assessment during the interview process, taking into consideration experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role. The level may impact the salary range and these adjustments would be clarified during the offer process.

Pay Range: $79,704 – $132,692
