Job Title: HVAC Lead Installer - Level 5

At Airsmiths Cooling & Heating, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Lead Installer to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing advanced HVAC systems and related components correctly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install HVAC-related equipment according to manufacturer's specifications.
  • Wire both line and low voltage to heating and cooling equipment.
  • Create a safe and proper workspace for the equipment being used.
  • Install copper refrigerant lines to air conditioning units, including soldering and brazing.
  • Install sheet metal and flex duct systems in residential and light commercial buildings.
  • Properly connect gas lines to heating equipment.
  • Pre-measure jobs to identify proper materials required for install.
  • Receive, verify, and load all equipment and materials needed for each job.
  • Provide assistance to other leads as directed by management.
  • Provide training to helpers and prospective leads.
  • Demonstrate and establish effective working relationships with co-workers and superiors.
  • Properly fill out all paperwork required for each job.
  • Take all readings on a machine and understand the importance of such.
  • Maintain cleanliness of assigned company vehicle.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • EPA Certification REQUIRED.
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a lead installer REQUIRED.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Honest and dependable.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • Able to distinguish between different HVAC equipment.
  • Self-Motivated but able to take direction and be part of a team.
  • Professional Company Image.
  • Valid LA driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely lift up to 100lbs.
  • Able to tolerate temperatures above 120 for extended periods of time.
  • Able to work overtime, nights, and weekend hours.
  • Able to continually climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.

Pay will be based on experience and performance. These pay scales are clearly defined for purposes of achievement-based pay and standardization of payment per position in the company. If your competencies exceed the listed pay level's we can up to $45/hr or use an incentive package of commission or bonus pay. Level 5 Tier 1- $25/hr 1yr Experience. Tier 2 - $27/hr 2yr Experience + Required Training Hours 16/yr. L5 LEAD Tier 3 – $30/hr 3yr Experience + NATE Certified $30/hr.
