HVAC Installer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Installer to join our team at Rusk Heating and Cooling Inc. As an HVAC Installer, you will be responsible for installing, modifying, and repairing heating and cooling systems to meet or exceed manufacturer recommendations and local codes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, modify, and repair heating and cooling systems, including warm air furnaces, air conditioners, duct distribution systems, boilers, and water heaters.
  • Start up installed equipment and adjust to manufacturer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot, adapt, and resolve/repair issues that arise during installation to ensure proper equipment function.
  • Communicate with customers regarding equipment operation, maintenance, and features.
  • Perform required documentation for each installation, including startup records and client sign-offs.

Requirements:

  • Customer service attitude and strong communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of products and services offered, requiring additional study and training as needed.
  • Familiarity with various municipalities' plan requirements, permit requirements, and submittal processes.
  • Ability to work under time constraints, budgetary limits, and pressures, while efficiently managing time and schedules.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and Word, and familiarity with smartphones, email, and Outlook.
  • Ability to understand client needs and continuously learn through training from suppliers, trade shows, seminars, and other employees.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance.
