**Position Summary**
The Art & Design Department is seeking experienced faculty in graphic design and interactive media to deliver courses that span from foundational to advanced design principles (such as typography, publication design, 3D modeling, and UI/UX) within our international program. The selected instructor will be responsible for teaching one or two courses aligned with their qualifications. The role involves providing high-quality instruction and collaborating with full-time faculty and translators to evaluate student performance and adhere to course guidelines. The position includes both in-person and online teaching responsibilities.

**Key Responsibilities**
  • Deliver instruction in designated subject areas.
  • Engage in annual evaluations of students and departmental coordinators.
  • Adhere to departmental curriculum standards, grading policies, attendance requirements, and assessment protocols.
  • Maintain regular attendance in classes and submit required documentation promptly.
  • Comply with all legal and ethical standards, including FERPA and ADA regulations.
  • Support the mission and core values of the university consistently.
  • Fulfill all contractual obligations as outlined in the adjunct faculty contract.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Art & Design Department Chair.

**Minimum Qualifications**
  • Bachelor's degree in Art, Graphic Design, Interactive Media, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in relevant instructional technologies, including Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma, Adobe XD, Premier, After Effects, Maya, Blender, and UI/UX tools.
  • Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level.
  • Proven dedication to teaching and student learning.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships within the academic community.
  • Commitment to the university's core values.
**Preferred Qualifications**
  • Master's degree in Art, Art History, or a Master of Fine Arts (MFA).
  • Familiarity with course management systems (e.g., Canvas).
  • Experience in course development, assessment, and accreditation processes.
  • Demonstrated multicultural competence.
**Work Environment**
The role involves teaching in classroom settings with minimal health or safety risks. The position is primarily sedentary, requiring activities such as sitting, walking, and engaging in repetitive motions.
