Job Summary:

This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and tracking community education programs, vocational skills, and kid's college programs. The Coordinator will work with area schools to develop partnership opportunities and camps to further the education of the youth population.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate and administer the development, marketing, and delivery of community education programs.
  2. Ensure compliance with college and departmental policies, prepare reports, and manage financial matters.
  3. Develop new seminars and implement strategies to respond to current events and topics.
  4. Seek grant revenue sources, write proposals, and ensure accurate record keeping.
  5. Recruit and hire consultants/instructors, supervise instructors, and perform evaluations.
  6. Supervise student employees and interns, achieve registration and revenue targets, and build relationships with the college community and public agencies.
  7. Ensure program processes are compliant with JJC procurement standards and recommend budget line items.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Education, or related area.
  2. Three years of related experience.
  3. Knowledge of training and development, adult learning, and curriculum design.
  4. Strong organizational and project management skills, excellent communication skills, and ability to work well with clients and business customers.
  5. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships, display cultural competence, and demonstrate commitment to the college's core values.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree.
  2. Previous work experience in seminar development and marketing.
  3. English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.
  4. Demonstrated multicultural competence.

Working Conditions:

Duties are performed indoors in the usual office and/or outdoor environment.
