Job Summary:

This position involves performing clerical duties within the transportation department to ensure regulatory compliance with the Department of Transportation (DOT). The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and processing driver paperwork, logs, manifest, vehicle inspection, and other related tasks. Additionally, they will answer phones, take messages, and manage office operations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, as well as knowledge of D.O.T. regulations and proficiency in Windows, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities:
  • Organize and process driver paperwork, logs, manifest, vehicle inspection, etc.
  • Answer phones, take messages, and manage office operations.
  • Support delivery associates and resolve issues.
  • Manage inbound freight paperwork and resolve related issues.
  • Generate daily reports for operations supervisors.
  • Perform other assigned tasks.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
  • 2 years' transportation experience in a high-volume operation preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Physical Demands:
This job may require standing, walking, sitting, handling objects, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
