Position Overview:

We are seeking qualified Overnight Paramedics to deliver advanced emergency and non-emergency medical care. This role involves responding to urgent calls, providing medical services, and transporting patients to healthcare facilities while ensuring continued care during transit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to both emergency and non-emergency medical situations.
  • Evaluate patient conditions and determine appropriate treatment plans in accordance with established medical protocols.
  • Administer medications as directed by approved medical orders.
  • Utilize equipment such as backboards and restraints to ensure patient safety during transport.
  • Assist in transferring patients to emergency departments and communicate observations and treatments to medical staff.
  • Document all medical care provided in a comprehensive patient care report.
  • Maintain and replenish medical supplies and ensure equipment is cleaned and ready for use.
  • Safely operate an ambulance and transport patients between medical facilities.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Tennessee Paramedic License is mandatory.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Basic Life Support (BLS) techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including empathy and effective communication.
  • Ability to solve problems and stay organized in high-pressure situations.
  • Current CPR Certification is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ACLS Certification.
  • PHTLS Certification.
  • ITLS Certification.
  • National Registry Certification.

Employment Conditions:

  • Successful candidates must complete a pre-employment physical examination, drug screening, and background check.
  • May require annual TB and rubella screenings.
  • Adhere to compliance programs as mandated by the organization.
  • Maintain all required certifications and licenses throughout employment.

Work Environment:

  • Work involves exposure to various environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures and potentially hazardous situations.
  • Physical demands include heavy lifting and the ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk frequently.
  • Must follow safety protocols when handling patients and working with medical materials.
