About the Position

The Engineering Project Specialist role is designed to facilitate the successful execution of capital projects within a leading pharmaceutical environment. This position serves as a vital onsite technical advisor, collaborating closely with the Project Manager to ensure that all technical elements of project execution are thoroughly recognized and applied throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, this role guarantees seamless integration of project outcomes into the operational and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain coordination between operational and maintenance teams and the project execution group throughout the project timeline.
  • Support the Project Manager in crafting project planning documentation.
  • Engage with external consultants to assess project alternatives and develop a project scope that aligns with site standards while achieving objectives in a cost-effective manner.
  • Provide technical guidance on Commissioning and Qualification tasks for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with engineering and quality standards prior to asset commissioning.
  • Actively participate in regular project meetings and relay updates to the Project Manager regarding your leadership tasks.
  • Draft change control documentation for assigned projects and ensure the accurate completion of all related records.
  • Conduct and document Measurement Uncertainty assessments for critical instruments.
  • Develop or adjust Lockout-Tagout protocols for newly installed or modified equipment.
  • Create a Facility Protection Plan for projects executed in occupied areas.
  • Complete data entry for new or modified assets for integration into the computerized maintenance management system.
  • Perform field verification of drawing modifications.
  • At project conclusion, ensure all project drawings are accurately uploaded into the drawing management system, reflecting the installed conditions.
  • Assist the Project Manager in coordinating environmental assessments necessary for returning areas to operational status.
  • Revise or create Standard Operating Procedures as needed.
  • Ensure all projects are executed in alignment with our commitment to a Zero Incident safety culture.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to meet project goals.
  • Maintain timely communication with the Project Manager regarding your assigned projects.
  • Ensure that service providers and vendors deliver consistent, high-quality services.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Foster an environment that reflects CBRE's core values of Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence.
  • Consistently promote a culture of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering technology or a related engineering field is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems is essential.
  • Familiarity with Commissioning and Qualification deliverables is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a pharmaceutical setting is preferred.
