Position Overview:
Under the guidance of the Chief Medical Executive and the oversight of the Correction Health Services Administrator, the Radiologic Specialist, Correctional Facility is responsible for preparing and instructing patients for radiologic assessments and performing x-ray imaging for various anatomical structures.

Key Responsibilities:
The Radiologic Specialist is tasked with maintaining imaging equipment and workspaces, as well as managing patient records and documentation. This role may also involve supervising inmate workers and ensuring proper conduct among patients during treatment.

Essential Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a valid certification as a Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiologic technology issued by the relevant state health department. Candidates currently pursuing this certification may participate in the examination process but must obtain the certification prior to appointment.

  • Option I: A minimum of two years of experience, including training in radiologic techniques under a licensed medical radiologist. Completion of a graduate nursing program may substitute for one year of this experience.
  • Option II: Successful completion of a two-year training program in radiologic technology accredited by the appropriate medical education councils.

Working Conditions:
This position requires travel as part of the job responsibilities.
