Position Overview:
A Rheumatologist is sought to become part of a multi-location dermatology and skin cancer institute.

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat rheumatic disorders including arthritis, back pain, and osteoporosis.
- Analyze symptoms and assess their impact on the immune system.
- Develop personalized treatment strategies for patients.
- Evaluate conditions related to joints and assess laboratory results alongside advanced diagnostic tests.
- Order and interpret necessary laboratory examinations.
- Conduct thorough physical assessments and imaging studies.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and recommend physical therapy.
- Educate and counsel patients regarding their conditions and treatment options.
- Perform initial evaluations, complete patient assessments, and create detailed treatment plans while collaborating with primary care providers.
- Participate in weekly patient care meetings and engage in professional conferences.
- Utilize medical expertise to create, implement, and review treatment protocols.
- Supervise and mentor all healthcare staff.
- Maintain and update patient medical records, ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations.
- Secure medical authorizations and referrals for various procedures and consultations as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all governmental health and safety standards.
- Offer ongoing educational opportunities for students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals.
- Attend professional development meetings and pursue continuous medical education.
- Regularly meet with staff to address workflow, operational challenges, and patient care matters.
- Oversee compliance with hospital regulations.
- Foster and maintain professional relationships within the community.
- Engage in community outreach initiatives.
- Manage diverse patient caseloads within established guidelines, including conducting physical exams, gathering patient histories, and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
