We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Development Coordinator RN to join our team at Streetsboro Opco LLC. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and coordinating the center's Staff Development Program.
Key Responsibilities- Compliance Training: Ensure that employees receive necessary training and education to perform their job responsibilities in accordance with our Company Code of Conduct.
- Documentation: Ensure that documentation for all training is completed in accordance with state, federal, and compliance requirements.
- Employee Performance: Monitor employee performance and take necessary action for compliance issues.
- Orientation Program: Develop and conduct an orientation program for new, rehired, and contract employees.
- Employee Health Program: Manage the Employee Health program.
- Clinical Orientation: Provide hands-on clinical orientation and instruction to licensed and unlicensed personnel.
- Training and Development: Conduct or coordinate new employee job training, CPR training, and assess resident needs in relation to staff abilities and design appropriate training programs.
- Clinical Competency: Ensure clinical competency of nursing staff through observed skills evaluation and conduct annual competency assessments for licensed nursing staff and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
- Department Budget: Assist in department budget preparation and contain expenditures within budget.
- OSHA/Risk Management: Conduct and coordinate OSHA/Risk Management program with oversight of documentation requirements.
- Curriculum Development: Ensure the educational curriculum in the center meets or exceeds state, federal, and accreditation requirements.
- In-Service Programs: Plan and conduct state and federally required in-service programs.
- Certification and Training: Conduct certification or training programs for Nursing Assistants.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BS degree preferred.
- Licenses/Certification: Licensed as a RN required, valid CPR teaching certificate if applicable, and current with state Continuing Education (CE) Requirements.
- Experience: Three years of nursing experience, of which one year was in a long-term care environment, and one year of experience as an instructor preferred.
