Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team at A&A Ready Mixed Concrete. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for welding and assembling metal components to repair dump trucks, trailers, and other heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Weld and assemble metal components to repair heavy equipment
  • Operate manual and automated welding units and equipment
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Examine welds for quality and accuracy
  • Repair improperly welded pieces and fill
  • Position and clamp work pieces together or assemble them in a jig
  • Fabricate new or replacement parts for heavy equipment
  • Assemble component parts using hand and small power tools
Requirements
  • Experience working with steel and aluminum
  • Wire-feed welding experience
  • Mechanical aptitude with hydraulics
  • Wrenching experience
  • Fabrications with welding and layout
Preferred Qualifications
  • Welding certification
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding. The employee will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, hazardous chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The employee must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety vest, hard hat, ear protection, gloves, and safety glasses.

Compensation

The compensation for this position is $30.00 per hour.
