Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Voyant Beauty. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability of critical power and control systems for trouble-free operation of plant support and production operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation, troubleshooting, and repair of low and high voltage industrial electrical and control systems
  • Performing all work in compliance with company policies, procedures, and federal, state, and local laws
  • Responsible for all electrical emergency and scheduled maintenance tasks across the plant
  • Identifying, reviewing, and planning electrical projects with or without guidance from the department manager
  • Sizing circuits and installing conduit according to national and local electrical code standards
  • Upgrading outdated or unsafe electrical installations across the plant
  • Being a subject matter expert for all electrical needs across the plant
  • Standardizing all electrical controls and power components to Allen Bradley parts as much as possible
Accountabilities
  • All electrical power and control systems across the plant and remote warehouse are fully operational in a safe and reliable manner
Qualification Standards
  • Ability to read, interpret, and modify electrical prints and schematics and document all self-created changes
  • Ability to use electrical diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Understanding of electrical requirements for intrinsically safe environments (Class I, Div. I, Group C&D)
  • Knowledge of industry-standard motion sensing and control devices
  • Expert knowledge of DC and AC motors and drives (AB preferred)
  • Expert knowledge of Allen Bradley Micrologix and PLC-5 family of processors
  • Well-versed in ladder logic programming (for PLC-5 etc.) and HMI interface configuration (such as Wonderware, PanelView etc.)
  • Hands-on knowledge of converting relay logic-based systems to PLC-based systems
  • Knowledge of cGMP and other regulatory requirements applicable to electrical installations
  • Knowledge of applicable national electrical codes and other relevant standards
  • Be computer literate and have knowledge of industry-standard PLC programming and HMI devices
  • Gas House Safety System Training
  • Familiarity with emergency response procedures
  • cGMP training
