General Overview:

The Client Services Representative is responsible for delivering exceptional service to members by accurately handling a wide range of transactions while fostering and sustaining positive relationships. This role also involves educating members about, recommending, and offering products and services that could be advantageous to them. The Client Services Representative operates under the guidance of the Branch Manager, exercising limited independent judgment and decision-making, and requires moderate supervision.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Efficiently processes a diverse array of transactions while ensuring outstanding member service in a timely manner.
  2. Accountable for meeting all branch and individual performance targets set by senior management, which includes increasing membership, managing new and existing accounts, and facilitating home loan and consumer loan applications (such as home equity, auto, personal loans, credit cards, etc.). Promotes additional Credit Union products and services.
  3. Assists tellers with complex transactions as directed by the Lead Teller or Branch Management.
  4. Serves as a backup for staff in various branch locations when necessary.
  5. Encourages and maintains a positive work environment by communicating professionally and effectively with members, colleagues, management, and vendors. Exemplifies the Credit Union's core values of Service, Teamwork, Integrity, and Responsibility.
  6. Stays informed about industry trends, including changes in regulations and technology.
  7. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures as well as Banking/Credit Union regulations.
  8. Performs additional duties as required.

Essential Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent; some college coursework is preferred.
  2. 1-2 years of experience in a Teller role.
  3. Familiarity with banking products and services, with extensive knowledge of Credit Union offerings. Strong motivation to achieve branch performance goals.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong attention to detail. Ability to multitask and possess strong mathematical skills.
  5. Willingness to travel up to 75%.
  6. Proficient in computer usage.
  7. Must obtain and maintain the following licenses/commissions (to be acquired within 90 days):
    1. NMLS Certification
    2. Notary Public
    3. State of CT Individual Producer License (Credit Insurance)
