Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Metrology Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of electrical engineers to develop test methods, processes, and procedures for complex test equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers to develop test methods, processes, and procedures for complex test equipment and systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise in the development of calibration methods, processes, and capabilities for complex test equipment and systems.
  • Review and analyze technical documents, guides, and manuals for accuracy and adherence to processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues and identify and analyze measurement uncertainties.
  • Become the project lead for various assignments and provide technical guidance to section engineers and management.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience mentoring other engineers and extensive knowledge of electrical test equipment and systems, measurement techniques, and Metrology principles and standards.
  • Basic RF knowledge and ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) and a U.S. government issued security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical test measurement equipment and systems, RF test equipment and measurement techniques, and uncertainty budgets.
  • Experience with Test Automation such as MET/CAL and/or Labwindows/CVI, C/C++ programming, GPIB/LAN communication, and Metrology concepts and practices.
