About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Metrology Electrical Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of electrical engineers to develop test methods, processes, and procedures for complex test equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and prioritize tasks for electrical engineers to develop test methods, processes, and procedures for complex test equipment and systems.
  • Communicate technical information to section engineers and management.
  • Provide technical guidance in the development of calibration methods, processes, and capabilities for complex test equipment and systems.
  • Review technical documents, guides, and manuals for accuracy and adherence to processes.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Identify and analyze measurement uncertainties for test systems.
  • Become the project lead for various assignments.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience mentoring other engineers.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical test equipment and systems, measurement techniques.
  • Knowledge of Metrology principles and standards including NCSL 540 and ISO 17025.
  • Basic RF knowledge.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF).
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical test measurement equipment and systems.
  • Knowledge of RF test equipment and measurement techniques.
  • Expert knowledge of uncertainty budgets.
  • Experience with Test Automation such as MET/CAL and/or Labwindows/CVI.
  • C/C++ programming.
  • GPIB/LAN communication.
  • Metrology concepts and practices.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
