Role Summary:
The Senior Software Engineer will play a pivotal role in developing innovative solutions within the Electrophysiology Division. This position involves the design and implementation of software systems and architectures to enhance our product offerings. The engineer will be responsible for creating and documenting software applications integrated into diagnostic and interventional cardiology devices. Participation in all stages of the software development lifecycle is essential, including concept creation, requirements gathering, design, execution, and validation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize strong software design principles to develop medical devices that fulfill specific performance criteria and adhere to product development quality standards. This includes crafting requirements specifications, design, implementation, and testing of software and embedded algorithms, as well as general Linux applications and graphical user interfaces (GUIs).
  • Contribute significantly as a team member to various project tasks, including defining software functional requirements, implementation, code evaluations, and final product release in accordance with medical device development protocols.
  • Develop and execute software testing plans and protocols, generating comprehensive test reports to ensure compliance with specifications and quality system standards.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, regulatory affairs, testing engineers, and hardware engineers, to ensure firmware design aligns with product requirements, focusing on safety, reliability, and serviceability. Foster creativity and innovation throughout the product development process.
  • Make informed recommendations and justifications for critical technical decisions in product design, based on thorough investigation and testing.
  • Document and transition developed solutions to the manufacturing team for mass production, providing ongoing technical support during the launch phase.


Qualifications:

  • Academic background in Microsoft Visual C++ or .Net technologies, emphasizing object-oriented analysis and design.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Over 6 years of experience in software development.
  • Proficient in creating and managing requirements and translating them into effective software architectures and designs.
  • Familiarity with medical device development requirements.
  • Strong documentation skills, particularly in highly regulated environments.
  • Extensive experience in Object-Oriented Design, C++, and Qt programming.
  • Proficient in Linux operating systems.
  • Experience in software development throughout the complete product lifecycle.
  • Solid understanding of OpenGL Computer Shader Language or CUDA, along with general stream programming concepts.
  • Experience with Nvidia GPU programming.
  • Thorough knowledge of OpenGL 2D/3D Texture Mapping techniques.
  • Expertise in computational geometry algorithms.
  • Experience in GUI development, preferably with Qt/QML.
