Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with diverse and innovative individuals to create scalable, optimized, and secure data streaming platforms for medical devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead system software design and architecture decisions to create a scalable, optimized, reusable, and secure data streaming platform for medical devices.
  • Define and implement industry-standard best practices to design, develop, code, test, and debug front-end and mobile software applications.
  • Build new technology that enables the company to grow efficiently and quickly with an intense focus on customer needs.
  • Work in all stages of technology development – from early R&D through commercialization.
  • Collaborate effectively within the Corporate Research Labs, across business groups and functions, and with external partners to create solutions that positively impact patient and clinician experiences.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher AND 8 years of combined experience in front-end or mobile software development OR High School Diploma/GED from AND 12 years of combined experience in front-end or mobile software development.
  • Deep expertise in Javascript and TypeScript.
  • Experience working with REST APIs.
  • Knowledge of network protocols including HTTP and WebSockets.
  • The ability to diagnose performance problems and faults in a modern web application.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Expertise in React and its ecosystem, including state management libraries (e.g. MobX).
  • An understanding of the Document Object Model.
  • Understanding of what factors govern the performance of a network-connected UI.
  • Familiarity with mobile development (iOS or Android) and React Native.
  • Knowledge of Bluetooth or NFC (Web Bluetooth/NFC or native iOS/Android APIs).
  • Experience working with GraphQL and/or RPC-style APIs.
  • Hands-on experience working directly with users to develop and adapt a UI to their needs.
  • Strong communication and writing skills, for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Curiosity about the healthcare business, and how we can innovate to serve our users, particularly clinicians and patients.
  • Experience in Healthcare industry or other regulated industry.
Work Environment

Solventum offers a hybrid work environment, with the option to work from Maplewood, MN or Pittsburgh, PA at least 3 days per week. Travel may include up to 10% domestic/international.

Benefits

Solventum offers a competitive compensation package, including base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. The expected compensation range for this position is $160,284 - $195,903. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits, including Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits.
