Role Overview
The PCT operates under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Charge Nurse (CN) to assist patients experiencing renal failure.

Key Responsibilities
1. Direct Patient Interaction: You will engage with patients to ensure a safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis experience. This includes:

  • Collecting patient statistics before and after treatments.
  • Initiating and monitoring treatment processes.
  • Concluding treatments and obtaining blood samples as per physician directives.

2. Technical Duties: You will prioritize quality by:

  • Preparing dialysis machines for treatment.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting equipment post-treatment.
  • Conducting safety checks on machines and documenting results to maintain quality control.

3. Safety and Compliance: You will implement appropriate safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment. Working closely with a Charge Nurse, you will adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and relevant laws and regulations.

Ongoing Development:
Participation in mandatory staff meetings and continuing education programs is essential to your role.
