Location Description

Our Norwalk, Iowa location is a southern suburb in the Des Moines metropolitan area, known for its excellent quality of life and strong community spirit. Our team is dedicated to producing high-quality precooked egg patties and French Toast products, while maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure a safe and healthy workplace for all employees, adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Produce high-quality products at the lowest possible cost, consistent with good manufacturing practices.
  • Provide a safe work environment for all personnel, recognizing and addressing operating problems to minimize their impact.
  • Request and direct services from maintenance, sanitation, and other personnel as needed to achieve desired levels of production, sanitation, safety, and warehouse services.
  • Cooperate with all departments to ensure a coordinated work relationship exists at all times.
  • Manage ingredient usage and department costs, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Enforce company policies in a fair and consistent manner, encouraging employee suggestions to improve production, quality, safety, and control costs.
  • Keep operations managers informed on operating and employee problems, quality, safety, and control costs.
  • Maintain consistent communications and monthly department meetings.
  • Provide a safe working environment, adhering to safe work practices, GMPs, and sanitary conditions to ensure product quality.
  • Report any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality, or personnel safety.
  • Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality of MFI products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 2-3 years supervisory experience, preferably in the food industry.
