About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Atlanta VA Medical Center in Decatur, GA. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the nursing staff in our medical center.

Responsibilities
  • Provide routine nursing care and personal services to assigned patients, including activities of daily living, hygiene care, and vital sign collection.
  • Document all care provided in the clinical records and observe significant conditions relevant to the patient's health status.
  • Perform diagnostic support duties, such as taking vital signs, collecting and transporting specimens, and preparing patients for discharge or tests.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment, observing all policies pertaining to universal precautions.
Requirements
  • Be a certified nursing assistant (CNA) with at least two years' experience in a medical-surgical, emergency room, mental health, or critical care setting.
  • Have current BCLS certification and US citizenship.
  • Provide nursing care for adult medical and surgical patients.
