Role Overview

The Solutions Manager will specialize in articulated dump trucks (ADT) and large construction equipment in the North American market. This position acts as a product authority while also providing consultative support to meet customer requirements. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the construction equipment sector, a strong desire to resolve customer challenges, and the capability to align equipment solutions with operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales teams and dealers to uncover and pursue opportunities from initial lead to final sale. Provide demonstration support and technical guidance as necessary during the sales process. Assist in identifying customer requirements based on specific job site conditions.
  • Collect Voice of Customer (VOC) and Voice of Dealer (VOD) insights to understand their needs and preferences. Use this feedback to inform product enhancements and improvements. Stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings to identify potential opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain a strategic product roadmap that aligns with market needs and corporate goals. Prioritize product features based on customer feedback and market analysis.
  • Design and implement comprehensive training programs for dealer sales teams to ensure they are well-versed in product features and advantages. Collaborate with the Marketing team to create effective sales materials and support marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor product performance and market share, identifying areas for growth and optimization. Work closely with Service and Engineering teams to address product issues and develop long-term solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management or a related area within the heavy construction machinery industry, preferably with an OEM.
  • In-depth knowledge of articulated dump trucks (ADT) and large construction equipment.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Prior experience operating heavy construction equipment is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
