About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Homemaker to join our team at DiscoverU Health. As a Caregiver/Homemaker, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Care: Develop and implement personalized care plans to meet the unique needs of each client, including:
    • Providing supportive and comfort measures
    • Preparing meals and snacks
    • Performing household services
    • Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere
    • Providing companionship and social interaction
    • Assisting with errands and transportation
  • Client Safety and Well-being: Ensure the safety and well-being of clients by:
    • Following established safety protocols
    • Reporting accidents and injuries
    • Maintaining a clean and safe living environment
  • Communication and Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records, including:
    • Service plans
    • Time sheets
    • Client progress reports
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure seamless care delivery and client satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Hold a valid driver's license and CPR/First Aid certification
  • Education and Experience: Preferably hold a CNA, CMT, or GNA license in Maryland, District of Columbia, or Virginia
  • Personal Qualities: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work harmoniously with clients, families, and colleagues
