Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care services under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding
• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Maintain infection control policies and proper hand washing techniques
• Report any observed or reported changes in the client's condition and/or needs to the Registered Nurse
• Document care provided and complete the necessary forms for the client's records

Requirements:

• Meet the training and/or certification requirements of the state in which the home health aide services are being provided
• Active and verifiable State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in applicable state OR 1 year of supervised, verifiable experience within the last 3 years
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Demonstrate ability to read, write, and follow a written Plan of Care
• Possess good interpersonal skills and a passion for caring for those in need
• Current driver's license, good driving record, and/or reliable transportation is required

Work Environment:

• Frequent standing, walking, stopping/bending, infrequent squatting/kneeling, and balancing
• Weight handled: up to 50 lbs (at times)
