The Lead Operations Strategist will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the hospitality operations within our network of apartment and hotel properties. The primary focus will be to elevate hospitality standards, ensuring that our guests enjoy an unparalleled experience.

We are seeking a candidate who is proactive, analytical, detail-oriented, and deeply passionate about hospitality, with a strong background in Operations and Supply Chain Management. This individual will be instrumental in enhancing daily operations to guarantee a premier guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the General Manager to engage in strategic discussions regarding geographic expansion and service level standards.
  • Recruit, train, and lead a visible operations team dedicated to guest satisfaction, handling tasks such as guest check-ins, quality audits, and personalized welcome preparations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, including housekeeping, logistics, and property management services.
  • Oversee back-of-house logistics, including supplies, equipment, and staffing.
  • Continuously enhance operational processes and identify cost-saving opportunities through innovative solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to quality control measures, consistently delivering on the Sonder brand promise.
  • Work cross-functionally with headquarters to refine strategies and tactics.
  • Foster a culture of hospitality within the operations team.
Qualifications:
  • A dedicated professional who is committed to achieving results.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Operations, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a management role.
  • Experience in project management, preferably within the hospitality sector.
  • A proven track record of navigating ambiguity and developing effective systems.
  • Familiarity with RFPs, contract negotiations, and managing external partnerships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience in hiring, training, and managing teams.
  • A creative mindset that challenges the status quo and seeks to innovate within the hospitality landscape.
  • Proficient in Google applications and open to adopting new technologies, with experience in project management tools preferred.
  • An MBA and hospitality experience are advantageous.
  • Knowledge of local market dynamics, including geography and demographics.
  • This role requires reliable access to transportation and the ability to travel between properties as needed.
