This role is based in our NYC office, where you'll work in person on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Job Description

As the Head of People at PermitFlow, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our human resources strategy and fostering a vibrant workplace culture. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of strategic and operational tasks, including talent acquisition, employee development, culture building, and compliance.

Talent Acquisition and Recruitment Strategy

You will spearhead our recruitment efforts to attract top talent in the industry, aligning with our growth objectives. This will involve developing and implementing a comprehensive recruitment strategy to identify, engage, and onboard skilled professionals.

Employee Development and Training

You will design and implement programs that enhance employee skills, foster professional growth, and contribute to a high-performance culture. This will involve collaborating with department heads to identify training needs and ensuring continuous learning opportunities for our team.

Culture Building

You will play a lead role in cultivating and maintaining a positive and inclusive work environment. This will involve developing initiatives that promote teamwork, innovation, and employee well-being, as well as implementing policies and practices that align with our values and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Compliance and HR Operations

You will ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, oversee HR operations, and implement best practices for HR policies and procedures. This will involve establishing and maintaining HR systems that support our evolving needs.

Qualifications & Fit
  • 5+ years of experience in talent management or a related field, preferably in the construction or SaaS industry
  • Proven track record of successfully building and leading a People team or organization, preferably in early-stage startups
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels

Compensation Range: $120K - $160K
