Job Overview

As a Social Media Content Strategist at Razorfish, you will play a pivotal role within our dynamic social team, contributing to the overall strategy and execution of content for a prominent entertainment client.

This position is integral to our 80+ member social practice, focusing on delivering high-quality content across various social platforms. You will collaborate closely with a team of over 32 professionals dedicated to managing organic social marketing efforts for the brand and its associated shows.

Your primary responsibilities will include planning and executing content across multiple channels, ensuring seamless publishing processes, and coordinating with diverse teams to shape social strategies. You will also be tasked with developing content calendars, securing creative assets, and crafting compelling copy. Attention to detail is crucial, as you will be responsible for ensuring all content is accurately tagged and posted without errors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients, the Publishing Director, and Publishing Manager as a vital member of the publishing team, effectively distributing content across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, and Threads.
  • Strategically plan and manage content calendars for multiple social profiles across all platforms.
  • Continuously refine and enhance the publishing strategy across social media channels.
  • Work in tandem with the Editorial team to create content plans that maximize visibility and engagement.
  • Review and validate all social media assets and post copy from the Editorial team, ensuring 100% accuracy before publication.
  • Assist in launching new social media accounts and expanding existing ones in collaboration with Editorial, Analytics, and Innovation teams.
  • Engage in light community management, interacting with audiences across social accounts and identifying opportunities for enhanced community engagement.
  • Contribute to organic social promotion strategies for campaigns and cultural moments, tailored to target audiences and respective platforms.
  • Collaborate with social teams across the broader brand portfolio to align on campaigns that span multiple brands.
  • Develop engaging copy and identify suitable hashtags to accompany video and static content.
  • Monitor and be accountable for engagement and growth goals, campaign performance, content reach, and optimization strategies.
  • Identify creative opportunities to leverage talent and partnerships to create engaging moments for fans and subscribers.
  • Propose innovative ideas for expanding social promotions across emerging platforms.

Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years of experience in social marketing, specifically in community management or publishing roles, either in-house at a reputable brand or with a recognized agency.
  • Demonstrated experience in publishing a high volume of content accurately and managing intricate content calendars.
  • Proven ability to utilize insights and data to guide content planning, mix, and timing.
  • Expert proficiency in using tools such as Monday and ListenFirst.
  • Comprehensive understanding of major social platforms and their algorithms.
