Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an on-site coordinator and project manager for Environmental Disposal List and Central Hazmat Fund locations.
  • Provide management and technical oversight for all actions taken under the Comprehensive Environmental Resource Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) at designated sites.
  • Ensure adherence to the National Contingency Plan and policies set forth by the Department of the Interior and Bureau of Land Management.
  • Prepare requests for proposals and contribute technical insights to the Technical Proposal Evaluation Committee (TPEC) related to remedial actions.
  • Function as the Contracting Officer's Representative on contracts leading to and including remedial actions, monitoring contractor performance and adjusting schedules as necessary.
  • Serve as the Natural Resource Damage Assessment and Restoration Case Manager for sites selected for NRDAR assessment.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive case strategy for the Bureau of Land Management, considering site response activities.
  • Act as an Environmental Professional for All Appropriate Inquiries (AAI).
  • Responsibilities include conducting or overseeing AAIs within the assigned jurisdiction, coordinating with the Environmental Protection Agency, Bureau of Land Management Headquarters, and the Department of the Interior on evaluation, planning, and implementation of Superfund cleanup initiatives.
