Job Overview

Altor Solutions is in search of a proficient Mold Change Specialist to enhance our team. In this role, you will be tasked with ensuring the effective and safe operation of our manufacturing machinery by executing mold changes promptly and accurately. Adherence to Altor Solutions' standards for Safety, Housekeeping, Quality, and Production is essential for success in this position.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Prior experience as a Mold Change Specialist or in a comparable role

- Strong mechanical skills and problem-solving abilities

- Capability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics

- Exceptional attention to detail and capacity to thrive in a fast-paced setting

- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods

- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as required

Key Responsibilities:

- Execute mold changes on various types of machinery

- Inspect molds for damage or wear and communicate any concerns to management

- Maintain a tidy and organized workspace

- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines

- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may occur during the mold change process

- Collaborate with other team members to achieve production targets

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands outlined are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. While fulfilling the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers; talk and hear. Frequently required to reach, bend, squat, stretch, and twist. Regularly required to lift and/or carry up to 15 pounds and up to 50 pounds with assistance. Must be able to work efficiently and repetitively with hands and possess the physical strength, stamina, and coordination to perform duties.

Work Environment:

The work environment is typical of most manufacturing settings. The noise level in the work environment is generally high, with ear protection required. Employees may work in a dusty and occasionally wet environment, as well as in cold, hot, or humid conditions depending on the season. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
