Job Summary
Altor Solutions is in search of a proficient Setup Technician (Mold Changer) to enhance our operational efficiency.
As a Setup Technician (Mold Changer), your primary responsibility will be to ensure the seamless and secure functioning of our manufacturing machinery by executing mold changes promptly and accurately.
You will be expected to adhere to Altor Solutions' standards regarding Safety, Housekeeping, Quality, and Production while maintaining an efficient and safe work environment.
If you possess reliability and expertise as a Setup Technician (Mold Changer), this role presents a challenging and fulfilling opportunity.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience as a Setup Technician (Mold Changer) or in a comparable position
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain standing for extended periods
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as necessary
- Execute mold changes on various equipment types
- Assess molds for damage or wear and communicate any concerns to management
- Maintain a tidy and organized workspace
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines
- Diagnose and resolve any challenges that may occur during the mold change process
- Collaborate with team members to meet production objectives
The physical requirements outlined are representative of those that must be fulfilled by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.
While executing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and utilize hands and fingers; communicate and listen.
Frequently required to reach, bend, squat, stretch, and twist. Regularly required to lift and/or carry up to 15 pounds and up to 50 pounds with assistance. Regularly required to stand and walk throughout the entire shift.Must possess the ability to work efficiently and repetitively with hands and have the physical strength, stamina, and coordination to fulfill job duties.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment is typical of most manufacturing settings. The noise level in the work environment is generally high, with ear protection being mandatory. Employees will work in a dusty and occasionally wet environment, as well as in cold/hot/humid conditions depending on the season. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
