As a Respiratory Therapist RRT or Certified CRT, you will play a vital role in assessing patients' respiratory care needs and developing effective treatment plans to meet those needs. Your expertise will ensure the best possible patient and family experience by optimizing all customer interactions.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately.
- Establish and implement individualized care plans to address patients' respiratory needs.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Administer aerosolized medications, manage secretions, and perform other routine therapeutic modalities as needed.
- Initiate and manage mechanical ventilators according to established protocols.
- Provide patient and family education on disease management and respiratory care.
- Assist with intra-hospital transport of mechanically ventilated patients and participate in acute airway management.
- Set up and manage non-invasive monitoring equipment, including ETCO monitors and pulse oximeters.
- Collaborate with care management teams to ensure timely discharge planning and follow-up care.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements, safety standards, and institutional policies.
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program.
- Certification(s) and License(s): Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification, Basic Life Support Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification, Registered Respiratory Therapist, Certified Respiratory Therapist.
