Respiratory Therapist

The Respiratory Therapist – DME is responsible for delivering high-quality respiratory care and managing the distribution and maintenance of durable medical equipment (DME) for patients. This role involves assessing patient needs, educating patients and their families on the use of respiratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities- Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings.
- Establish appropriate care plans by evaluating patients' respiratory needs.
- Set up and maintain respiratory therapy equipment, including CPAP and BIPAP machines.
- Provide education and training to patients on the use and maintenance of respiratory therapy equipment.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Manage the distribution and maintenance of DME for patients.
- Track patient progress and compliance with therapy and document all interactions and interventions.
- Maintain effective communication with patients and healthcare providers about patient care, compliance, and pressure settings.
- Provide age-specific patient and family education on disease management.
- Adhere to regulatory requirements and safety standards.
- Function as a preceptor for orientees.

Requirements- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program.
- Certification(s) and License(s): Basic Life Support Certification, Certified Respiratory Therapist.
