Job Summary

Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing patients' respiratory care needs and developing individualized treatment plans to meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' respiratory care needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Perform and document thorough patient assessments
  • Establish appropriate care plans and communicate with other members of the patient care team
  • Provide age-specific patient and family education as it relates to disease management
  • Assist in intra-hospital transport of mechanically ventilated patients and manage conventional and high frequency mechanical ventilators according to established protocol

Requirements

  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) - National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification - Neonatal Resuscitation Program
  • Basic Life Support Certification within 6 months - Default Issuing Body
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification within 6 months - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
