Key Responsibilities- Participate in the development and implementation of General Account investment strategies, including idea generation across a broad range of public and private asset classes.
- Contribute to engagements with asset managers on new opportunities and provide insurance investment knowledge to optimize investments for insurance balance sheets.
- Support cross-portfolio initiatives, such as analyzing new asset classes, understanding capital frameworks, and their impact on investment initiatives, and optimizing new strategies under enterprise risk limits.
- Support active portfolio construction, including risk positioning, identification and escalation of risk issues, and benchmarking of asset managers.
- Coordinate and partner with other groups within CIO and corporate functions to understand and address portfolio issues.
- Engage in broad portfolio surveillance across multiple fixed income asset classes.
- Contribute to strategic portfolio outlook and positioning through regular relative value and risk assessment discussions.
- 4-7 years of investment and/or risk management experience.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Capital markets knowledge with experience in a variety of asset classes, including corporate bonds, securitized products, and mortgage loans.
- Strong communication, coordination, and thought partnership skills, as well as the ability to problem-solve and explain solutions (both oral and written).
- Excellent project management skills.
- Pursuing a CFA designation and/or MBA.
- Previous experience in investments, credit analysis, or fixed income.
- Knowledge of insurance capital frameworks.
