About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at BrightSpring Health Services. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our medication management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Triage and interpret medication orders, accurately inputting them into our computerized system while meeting productivity standards.
- Perform drug calculations, including conversions between units of measurement.
- Resolve issues related to denied claims and follow up on pending claims in our Point of Sale system.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicaid claim regulations and processes.
- Produce reports and keep management informed of unpaid claims and pending follow-ups.
- Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers, adhering to our company values.
- Assist with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Perform other tasks as assigned, including assisting in various areas of the pharmacy as directed by management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Pharmacy-related experience.
- Basic understanding of drugs, medication terminology, and the metric system, with the ability to operate a computer.
